The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to honor Ann Ludwick, MPA '95, with the 2026 Distinguished Staff Alumni Award.
Ludwick is an assistant dean at the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason. She leads the undergraduate academic advising team, teaches the internship course, and directs the Global Politics Fellows program.
She has worked at the university for more than 32 years managing departments, graduate programs, and undergraduate academic affairs. In each of these roles, Ludwick has valued a student-centered approach. In 2022, a George Mason alum established a scholarship fund in her name to recognize the guidance she provides to many students.
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences honors distinguished alumni each fall at Community and Catalysts: Achievements, Awards, and Innovations. This signature event is a celebration of alumni, faculty, and students whose leadership, research, and service have made outstanding contributions to their fields, communities, and to the university.
