Dr. Jeff Grim will join the Higher Education Program this fall as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. Dr. Grim was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Higher Education and Student Affairs at the University of Iowa. He had many years of professional experience in student affairs before pursuing his Ph.D. in Higher Education at the University of Michigan. Dr. Grim’s research attempts to answer the question: How do higher education organizational contexts, policies, and practices shape experiences and outcomes for systemically marginalized people with specific attention to academic careers, leadership, and student access and success? His professional and scholarly expertise will enrich students’ learning experiences and create opportunities to collaborate with scholars, practitioners, and policymakers.
