HEP student Allie Loughry presents at NASPA annual conference

On March 21, HEP student Allie Loughry presented a general interest session at the NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education) Annual Conference held in Baltimore.

Her presentation, “Assessing Potential University Partnerships through a Rubric-based Evaluation Method,” explored intentionality in partnership development. Allie designed the rubric for American University’s School of International Service as part of a graduate practicum course. This rubric was designed to create a standard process for evaluating potential partnerships for semester-long exchange programs. During the session, participants gained insight into developing sustainable and intentional university partnerships and left inspired to incorporate rubric-based evaluation into their work.

Allie Loughry is a master’s student in the Higher Education and Student Development program and will graduate this spring. She is the Assistant Director of Experiential Learning at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School in Baltimore. Allie has previously presented on her master’s coursework during the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSOTL) conference in 2021, as well as the Higher Education Program Winter Social in 2020.
