HEP Alum Appointed Director of Civic Engagement at Mason

"The Office of Undergraduate Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Kristen Wright as the inaugural Director of Civic Engagement. In this role, Kristen will help coordinate university efforts around civic engagement and community learning through initiatives such as the Mason Impact and community-based research, as well as working closely with existing programs on campus. Now that civic engagement is a core competency and assessed by SCHEV as part of undergraduate education, Kristen will help shape the definition of civic engagement for Mason and will guide our institution to becoming a national leader in this field.

 

Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology from Baldwin Wallace University and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, Higher Education Administration from Mason. For the last four years, she has served as the Associate Director of Student Leadership and Involvement at Johns Hopkins University."
