Graduation Information

You're ready to graduate. Congratulations on reaching this milestone!

College Events

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences holds a convocation for graduate students in May. All students are recognized by name as they walk across the stage and are greeted by the dean. Doctoral students are recognized individually and hooded by their advisors.

University Events

The university has a convocation in December and a commencement in May. At the December convocation, all students are recognized by name as they walk across the stage. Doctoral students are recognized individually and hooded by a university official. At the May commencement, only doctoral students are recognized individually. They are called to the stage where they receive their degrees and are hooded by a university official.

Plan to Attend

We encourage all graduates and their families and friends to attend the convocations (commencement in May) to celebrate their accomplishments.
