The Spencer Foundation has awarded Dr. George Mwangi, associate professor in the Higher Education Program, a grant for her project “From ‘Cash Cows’ to ‘Yellow Peril’: Examining the Positioning of Asian International Students in the United States in Contentious Times.”
Along with Dr. Christina Yao, associate professor in the College of Education at the University of South Carolina, Dr. George Mwangi will “examine how Asian international students’ perception of their positioning in the U.S. may have shifted during COVID-19.”
